Chicken Coop Sports Bar & Grill
/Stopped by the Chicken Coop Sports Bar & Grill in Urbandale for some lunch. The Chicken Coop is very similar to a Okoboji Grill or Legends. They offer a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, dinners, and deserts. I usually judge a place like this based on the cheeseburger. However a friend told me that they had recently stopped by for a burger and loved it. So I ordered the pork tenderloin with fries. The sandwich was served hoagie style. The pork tenderloin was cut in half which I thought was quite brilliant. The bread was soft and allowed the whole sandwich to come together with out splitting the top bun from the bottom. I loved the use of the clausen pickles and setup was fresh. One of the best pork tenderloins I have had in quite awhile. I did not count the many televisions which are hanging throughout but seems a great place to catch the game. Check-out the West Des Moines Location as well.
